On December 3, 2024, Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin and State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova Sergiu Mihov held consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of China and Moldova in Beijing.
Liu Bin said that since the establishment of diplomatic relations 32 years ago, China and Moldova have always upheld the principles of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit, and the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries have developed smoothly. China is ready to work with Moldova to implement the strategic plan made by the two heads of state, strengthen mutual support, expand cooperation in such fields as economy and trade, investment, as well as people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and promote the development and revitalization of the two countries.
Sergiu Mihov said that Moldova attaches great importance to its relations with China, abides by the one-China principle, and looks forward to deepening cooperation with China in various fields, strengthening communication in international affairs and promoting greater development of bilateral relations.
The two sides also had an exchange of views on international and regional issues of mutual interest and concern.
