On January 7, 2025, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on European Affairs Wu Hongbo, upon invitation, attended the reception held by the Embassy of Denmark in China to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Denmark's recognition of the People's Republic of China, during which he met with visiting Minister for Higher Education and Science of Denmark Christina Egelund and Ambassador of Denmark to China Michael Starbaek Christensen. The two sides had an exchange of views on China-Denmark relations and the joint celebration of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
