Ambassador Du Xiaohui Pays a Courtesy Call on Zambian Vice President Mutale Nalumango

On 15th June, H.E. Mr. Du Xiaohui, Chinese Ambassador to Zambia, paid a courtesy call on Her Honour Mutale Nalumango, Vice President of Zambia. They had an in-depth discussion on bilateral relations and practical cooperation. Ms. Lilian Kapusana, Permanent Secretary at the Office of the Vice President of Zambia, and other officials were present.

Ambassador Du said that President Xi Jinping and President Hichilema had a successful telephone conversation two weeks ago, which gives an important political guidance for the development of bilateral relations. The Chinese side will work closely with the Zambian side to implement the important consensus reached by the two Heads of State and realize all-dimensional development of the all-weather friendship. China is willing to enhance cooperation in various areas such as agriculture, mining, infrastructure, green energy, and continue to fight against COVID-19 with solidarity.

Vice President Nalumango welcomed Ambassador Du to Zambia. She said that Zambia and China are all-weather friends who have always respected, trusted and supported each other, and the foundation of the friendship is strong. Zambia will work with China to implement the important consensus of the two Heads of State, and further deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields. Zambia welcomes more Chinese investment in the country and will create a fair and friendly environment for business based on rule of law.
