On May 17, 2023, Ambassador Zhang Jianwei took a field trip to the Jurassic Production Facilities 5, JPF-5, contracted by Jereh Oil and Gas Engineering Co., Ltd.

Ambassador Zhang watched operations on site and was briefed on the project’s progress and future planning. He also had exchanges with the head of this project’s Chinese contractor and representatives from  Kuwait Oil Company (KOC). Ambassador Zhang appreciated Chinese private companies’ efforts to actively expand business in Kuwait and earn their good reputation through solid work. He expected Chinese companies to enhance the sharing and exchange of advanced techniques and management experience, which will prompt the high-quality development of China-Kuwait energy cooperation.

Approximately 1,000 workers are engaged in the project.
