Chinese Ambassador to Norway Hou Yue Pays Courtesy Call to State Secretary Andreas Motzfeldt Kravik

On October 11, 2023, Ambassador Hou Yue paid a courtesy call to H.E. Andreas Motzfeldt Kravik, State Secretary of Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Ambassador Hou said that China and Norway have strengthened high-level exchanges in recent years, jointly safeguarded multilateralism and free trade, and achieved fruitful results in our collaboration regarding economic and trade cooperation, climate change, and sustainable development. Next year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Norway. China is willing to take this opportunity to step up two-way exchanges, promote practical cooperation, and open a new chapter in bilateral relations of the two countries.

Mr. Kravik said that Norway highly appreciates China's development achievements. Norway and China have close economic and trade exchanges and have strong cooperation potential in green transition, sustainable development and other regards. Norway is willing to continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China, continuously enhance mutual understanding and consensus, and promote our bilateral relations for new developments.
