The Chinese Embassy in Liberia Holds the Reception of the Chinese Lunar New Year and Ambassador YIN Chengwu’s Assuming Duty

On February 7, the Chinese Embassy in Liberia held the Reception of the Chinese Lunar New Year and Ambassador YIN Chengwu’s Assuming Duty. The reception was attended by about 200 people, including Hon. Jeremiah Kpan Koung, Vice President of the Republic of Liberia, Hon. Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence, President Pro-Tempore of the Senate of Liberia, Hon. Sie-A-Nyene Yuoh, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Liberia, designated cabinet ministers, members of the legislature, diplomatic corps in Liberia, and representatives of Chinese enterprises, institutions and overseas Chinese in Liberia.

Ambassador Yin extended festival greetings to all guests, appreciated all sectors in Liberia for their contributions to the promotion of China-Liberia friendship, positively assessed the positive momentum of interaction between the two heads of state since President Boakai won the election, demonstrated his confidence in the bilateral relations, and expressed his willingness to work with the Liberian side to "THINK CHINA-LIBERIA RELATIONS, LOVE CHINA-LIBERIA RELATIONS AND BUILD CHINA-LIBERIA RELATIONS".

Vice President Koung delivered remarks, on behalf of President Boakai, extending his New Year greetings to the Chinese people, welcoming Ambassador Yin to his new post, appreciating China's support for the economic and social development of Liberia, and reaffirming Liberia's firm adherence to the one-China policy and its commitment to promoting bilateral friendship and cooperation.
