On April 25, 2023, Vice Foreign Minister Xie Feng met with visiting Fiji’s Minister of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Lynda Diseru Tabuya, Minister of Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations Agni Deo Singh, and Minister of Education Aseri Radrodro. The two sides exchanged in-depth views on China-Fiji relations.

Xie Feng said that China attaches great importance to developing China-Fiji relations and stands ready to work with the new government of Fiji to enhance synergy of development strategies, deepen practical cooperation and achieve common prosperity on the basis of mutual respect for each other’s core interests.

Minister Tabuya and others reiterated Fiji’s commitment to the one-China policy, highly appreciated China’s achievements in development and poverty alleviation, and expressed Fiji’s readiness to continuously deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership with China.
