Vice Foreign Minister Deng Li Hold a Political Consultation with State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia Ingrid Brocková

On May 22, 2023, Vice Foreign Minister Deng Li and State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia Ingrid Brocková held the China-Slovakia political consultation at the vice foreign ministerial level in Beijing.

Deng Li said Slovakia was one of the first countries to establish diplomatic relations with the People’s Republic of China, and friendship and cooperation have always been the mainstream of China-Slovakia relations. China is ready to strengthen communication and exchanges with Slovakia at all levels, advance cooperation in economy and trade, investment, people-to-people and cultural exchanges and other fields, and jointly promote the development of cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries (CEEC).

Brocková congratulated China on its tremendous development achievements and said that Slovakia attaches great importance to developing relations with China, hopes to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields between the two countries, and will continue to actively participate in China-CEEC cooperation.

Both sides also exchanged views on China-EU relations, and the Ukraine crisis, among others.
