Director-General of the Department of West Asian and North African Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Deng Li Meets with Press Delegation of Iran

On December 22, 2015, Director-General of the Department of West Asian and North African Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Deng Li met with an Iranian new media delegation that was paying a visit to China at the invitation of All-China Journalists Association.

Deng Li answered questions from members of the delegation on China-Iran relations and all-round practical cooperation. He said that China-Iran relations enjoy a long-term friendship and bilateral economic and trade cooperation covers wide-range of areas with reciprocal and mutual benefits. The two countries joining hands to build the "Belt and Road" is conducive to their further tapping of cooperation potentials. It is hoped that the media friends in Iran will continue their positive role and become a bridge enhancing the friendship between the two peoples, so as to deepen mutual understanding of both sides and make more positive contributions to bilateral relations.

The delegation members spoke highly of the development of Iran-China relations and expressed their hope to comprehensively and deeply understand China through the visit and their willingness to enhance cooperation with Chinese media so as to jointly create sound public opinion basis and environment for the development of bilateral relations.
