From March 13 to 14, 2022, Special Envoy of the Chinese Government on the Middle East Issue Zhai Jun visited Saudi Arabia and met with Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, Deputy Minister for Political and Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Saud bin Mohammed Al-Sati and former Secretary-General of the National Security Council Prince Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, respectively. The two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations, security in the Gulf region and other international and regional issues. Chinese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Chen Weiqing attended the above activities.
