On June 16, 2022, Director-General of the Department of African Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Wu Peng had an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail of Zambia during his visit to Zambia and answered the reporters' questions on China-Zambia relations, China-Africa relations and bilateral cooperation.

Wu Peng briefly introduced the relevant information and main purposes of his visit to Zambia, and pointed out that China and Zambia are "all-weather" friends with traditional friendship. China is ready to work with Zambia to strengthen strategic communication and policy synergy, fully implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and the nine programs of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, deepen practical cooperation in various fields, promote the more Zambian commodities to enter the Chinese market, and advance the transformation and upgrading of China-Zambia practical cooperation for greater development.

Wu Peng said, developing solidarity and cooperation with Zambia and other African countries is China's long-term and firm strategic choice.
