Director-General of the Department of European Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Wang Lutong Has a Group Meeting with Diplomatic Envoys of Central and Eastern European Countries to China

On July 15, 2022, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs of the Foreign Ministry and Executive Secretary-General of the Secretariat for Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries(CEEC) Wang Lutong had a group meeting with diplomatic envoys of CEEC to China. Special Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for China-CEEC Cooperation Affairs Ambassador Huo Yuzhen attended the meeting.

Wang Lutong said that China-CEEC cooperation has always maintained a good development momentum in the past 10 years since its launch, with an increasingly mature mechanism, frequent highlights of cooperation in major projects, fruitful pragmatic achievements in various fields, and continuously deepening people-to-people friendship, which has become an important engine to promote the development of China-CEEC relations. The year 2022 is a year full of hopes and challenges. China is ready to work with CEEC to accelerate the implementation of the outcomes of the China-CEEC Summit 2021 in Beijing, and organize various activities for the 10th anniversary of the launch of China-CEEC cooperation, so as to contribute to more visible results and promote greater development in China-CEEC cooperation.

The diplomatic envoys of CEEC positively evaluated the progress of various cooperation under the China-CEEC cooperation mechanism and put forward opinions and suggestions on the next stage of development for relevant cooperation.

After the meeting, the representatives of China and foreign countries jointly attended the Launching Ceremony of the Commemorative Envelop of the 10th Anniversary of China-CEEC Cooperation.
