Secretary-General of the Chinese Follow-up Committee of the FOCAC and Director-General of the Department of African Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Wu Peng attended the seminar and delivered a speech.

Wu Peng said that China, as Africa's most firm and reliable partner for cooperation, has always pursued the principle of sincerity, real results, amity and good faith in its cooperation with Africa and the principle of pursuing the greater good and shared interests in developing relations with Africa, and remained committed to seeking greater synergy between the Belt and Road Initiative and the African Union Agenda 2063 and development strategies of African countries. In the field of cooperation on industrialization with Africa, China has formulated policies, taken actions, achieved results and drawn inspiration, and has helped Africa convert its resource endowments into development strengths and achieved mutual benefit and common development.
