President Xi Jinping Appoints New Ambassadors

Recently, President Xi Jinping of the People's Republic of China announced the appointment of the following new Ambassadors in line with decisions adopted by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC):

Ⅰ. Wu Ken was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, replacing Chen Xu.

II. Shi Zhongjun was appointed Permanent Representative and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Vienna, replacing Cheng Jingye.

III. Cheng Jingye was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Commonwealth of Australia, replacing Ma Zhaoxu.

Ⅳ. Zhang Jinxiong was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Suriname, replacing Yang Zigang.

Ⅴ. Wu Haitao was appointed Deputy Permanent Representative and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the United Nations, replacing Wang Min.

Ⅵ. Ma Zhaoxu was appointed Permanent Representative and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other International Organizations in Switzerland, replacing Wu Hailong.
