Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Xue Bing Attends Reception for the 63rd Anniversary of Burundi's Independence

On July 1, 2025, Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Xue Bing, upon invitation, attended the reception hosted by the Embassy of Burundi in China to celebrate the 63rd anniversary of Burundi's independence and delivered a speech.

Xue Bing congratulated Burundi on the 63rd anniversary of its independence, saying that China and Burundi are true friends and good partners who respect each other and pursue common development. In recent years, under the care and guidance of the two heads of state, the big tree of China-Burundi cooperation has continued to bear fruitful results. China is ready to work with Burundi to fully implement the important common understandings reached between the two heads of state, accelerate the implementation of the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and a series of new measures for cooperation with Africa, and jointly build an all-weather China-Africa community with a shared future for the new era.

Burundian Ambassador to China Telesphore Irambona spoke highly of bilateral relations, expressed gratitude for the extensive support provided by China to Burundi in various fields, and reaffirmed that the Burundian government will abide by the one-China principle and continue to firmly support China on issues related to China's core interests and major concerns.
