On July 12, 2024，Ambassador Zhao Weiping attended the Handover Ceremony of the Social House in Hardap Region. Hon. Evelyn !Nawases-Taeyele, Deputy Minister of Urban and Rural Developemt, and Hon. Rev. Salomon April, Governor of Hardap Region, attended the event. The two-bedroom house which was handed over in the ceremony to a local family was built by the Government of Hardap Region with the small grant provided by the Chinese Embassy.

Deputy Minister Evelyn and Governor Salomon thanked Chinese Embassy for its contribution to the well-being of the Namibian people and praised China as a good friend and a good partner. Both of them encouraged the Namibian people to promote friendship between the two countries.

Amb. Zhao spoke highly of the implementation of the Social House Project in Hardap Region and said that the Chinese side will continue to provide assistance in future.
