On June 5th , Ambassador Ma Qiang attended the event of “Inspiration of Chinese modernization to South Sudan” at the China Cultural Center of the University of Juba. Hon. Prof. Robert Mayom Deng, Vice Chancellor of the University of Juba, representatives of faculties and students, as well as young diplomats from the Chinese Embassy were present.

Ambassador Ma said that China will walk side by side with South Sudan on the path to modernization, and hope that students of the University of Juba will become envoys of China-South Sudan friendship.

Mayom said that Chinese modernization is one of the most successful modernization paths in the world, and South Sudan will learn from and draw on China's experience.

At the event, Ambassador Ma Qiang handed “the fouth Volume of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China” to South Sudanese participants.

The event was buzzing with excitement, with three young diplomats from the Embassy and two students from the University of Juba sharing views on Chinese modernization. A local community worker performed his self-composed song “ China, I Love You” in Chinese.
