 US President George W. Bush met with visiting Chinese Vice- Premier Qian Qichen at the white House on March 22,2001. 

 On October 19,2001, President Jiang Zemin and President Bush held a joint press conference for Chinese and foreign journalists. President Jiang said that China and the United States, as two countries that have major influence in the world, share common responsibilities and interests in such aspects as maintaining peace and security in the Asia- Pacific region and in the world, promoting regional and global economic growth and prosperity and cracking down on terrorism together with the international community. Jiang said China attaches importance to its relations with the Unites States and is willing to work together with the American side to develop a constructive and co-operative relationship. President Bush said that China is a great nation and the United States would like to work together with China to develop the constructive and co-operative relations. He said the United States and China were faced with many common interests and both countries could do many thins through joint efforts.
 

Chinese President Jiang Zemin greeted US President George W. Bush at the Shanghai Scientific and Technological Hall on October 21,2001.

On February 21,2002, President Jiang Zemin held a welcome ceremony for the visit of US President Bush.

 

 

On the morning of February 22,2002, Premier Zhu Rongji met with US President Bush at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse.

On February 22,2002, President Hu Jintao met with US President Bush at Qinghua University.
