On April 12, 2024, Director-General of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Liu Jinsong met with Philippine Ambassador to China Jaime A. FlorCruz to lodge solemn representations over negative statements and actions of the Philippine side concerning China during the U.S.-Japan-Philippines Trilateral Summit.
