On March 13, 2025, Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Long Zhou co-chaired the 22nd round of China-ROK consular consultation with Director-General Yoon Chusok for Consular Affairs and Safety of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea (ROK) in Beijing. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on developing China-ROK consular relations, facilitating personnel exchanges and safeguarding the safety and legitimate rights and interests of overseas citizens.

The two sides agreed to continue to strengthen consular cooperation, improve the facilitation of personnel exchanges, protect the safety and legitimate rights and interests of citizens, create a good environment for friendly exchanges between the two peoples and practical cooperation in various fields, and boost the development of bilateral relations.
