On June 30, 2022, Special Envoy of the Chinese Government on the Middle East Issue Zhai Jun met with Iranian Ambassador to China Mohammad Keshavarzadeh at the latter's request. The two sides exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East and hotspot issues, among others.
