On May 12, 2016, when attending the 7th ministerial meeting of China-Arab States Cooperation Forum (CASCF) in Doha, Qatar, Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Ming met respectively with Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs Ali Sulaiman Al-Saeid of Kuwait, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi of Oman, Deputy Foreign Minister Omer Ahmed Karim Al Berzinji of Iraq and Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Investment Promotion Ahmed Ali Kadiye of Somalia, exchanging views on bilateral relations between China and the four above-mentioned countries, the construction of the CASCF and international and regional issues concerning Iraq, Yemen, Syria and reform of the UN Security Council. On the same day, Zhang Ming also gave a group interview to the Qatar News Agency and other local media.
