Xi Jinping and King Abdullah II Bin Al-Hussein of Jordan Exchange Congratulatory Messages on the 40th Anniversary of the Establishment of China-Jordan Diplomatic Relations

On April 7, 2017 local time, President Xi Jinping and King Abdullah II Bin Al-Hussein of Jordan exchanged congratulatory messages a few days ago, congratulating the 40th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations.

Xi Jinping noted in his congratulatory message that over the past 40 years, the two countries have continuously developed bilateral relations, constantly enhanced political mutual trust, and maintained frequent high-level exchanges. Both sides have maintained sound communication on regional and international affairs, and achieved fruitful outcomes from exchanges and cooperation in economy, trade, culture, education and other fields. In 2015, we jointly announced to establish China-Jordan strategic partnership. Looking into the future, I am full of confidence in the rosy prospects of bilateral relations. Attaching great importance to the development of China-Jordan relations, I am willing to make joint efforts with you to deepen bilateral strategic partnership, so as to better benefit the two countries and the two peoples.

Abdullah II Bin Al-Hussein expressed in his congratulatory message that since the establishment of Jordan-China diplomatic relations, bilateral relations have been increasingly intensified with fruitful outcomes. He was fairly proud of the profound relationship between the two countries as well as the two peoples. Both sides had signed the landmark strategic partnership agreement in 2015. Economic and trade cooperation is the priority of the development of Jordan-China relations. Jordan is willing to continue to cooperate with China under the "Belt and Road" initiative, in a bid to better benefit the two peoples.
