On June 25, 2018, Assistant Foreign Minister Chen Xiaodong met with outgoing Jordanian Ambassador to China Yahya Qaralleh.

Speaking positively of Yahya Qaralleh's contributions to promoting the development of China-Jordan relations during his term of office, Chen Xiaodong hoped that he could continuously care for and support the cause of bilateral friendship in the future. Yahya Qaralleh spoke highly of Jordan-China relations and China's development achievements, and expressed that he will commit to promoting the friendship between Jordan and China as always after leaving his post.
