From April 6 to 7, 2019, Ambassador for China-Arab States Cooperation Forum Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Li Chengwen attended the World Economic Forum on the Middle East and North Africa 2019 in Dead Sea of Jordan, and participated in the panel discussion on Outlook on the Belt and Road Initiative.

On April 8, 2019, Li Chengwen met with Director of Asia and Oceania Department and Acting Director of Arab and the Middle East Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Maher S. Tarawneh of Jordan. H.E. Pan Weifang, Chinese Ambassador to Jordan, was present at the meeting.
