On March 5, 2021, Special Envoy of the Chinese Government on the Middle East Issue Zhai Jun held a collective meeting with Ambassadors of Algeria, Palestine, Tunis, Kuwait, Jordan and Egypt and Director of the Arab League Representative Office in China.

The Arab side introduced the latest developments of the question of Palestine, especially the relevant resolution of the "Arabic situation and support for the Palestinian cause" adopted at the special meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the League of Arab States.

Zhai Jun stated China's principled stance on the question of Palestine and stressed this question is at the core of the Middle East issue. China firmly supports the just cause of the Palestinian people for the restoration of their legitimate national rights and the direction of the two-State solution. China is willing to work with the international community to promote a comprehensive and just resolution to the question of Palestine at an early date.
