
On December 5, 2025, Vice Foreign Minister Miao Deyu met with Ambassador of Kuwait to China Jasem Ibrahem Al-Najem.
Miao Deyu stated that in recent years, under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and Emir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, China-Kuwait relations have made significant progress. Next year marks the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Kuwait, and China is ready to take this opportunity to work with Kuwait to achieve greater advancements in the strategic partnership between the two countries. China will host the second China-Arab States Summit next year, and is ready to join hands with Kuwait to inject new and strong momentum into the comprehensive and in-depth development of relations between China and Arab countries through the summit. On Thursday, President Xi Jinping announced that China will provide 100 million U.S. dollars of assistance to Palestine. This is another important policy measure by China to promote the resolution of the Palestinian question and deepen China-Arab cooperation, demonstrating China's sense of responsibility.
Jasem Ibrahem Al-Najem stated that Kuwait values its friendship with China and is willing to work with China to actively implement the important common understandings reached by the two heads of state, accelerate efforts to advance bilateral cooperation projects, and open up new prospects for bilateral relations. Kuwait supports China in hosting the second China-Arab States Summit and is willing to strengthen communication and coordination with China to ensure the summit's complete success. Kuwait highly appreciates China's just stance on the Palestinian question, and commends and welcomes China's provision of a new batch of assistance to Palestine. Kuwait is willing to enhance communication and cooperation with China to jointly uphold multilateralism and international fairness and justice.
