On September 12, 2011, Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour met with the Chinese observer delegation which was in Lebanon attending the Meeting of States Parties (MSP) to the Convention on Cluster Munitions. Chinese Ambassador to Lebanon Wu Zexian accompanied the delegation to the meeting. Mansour expressed admiration and welcome to the Chinese delegation to the MSP and hopes China makes greater contributions to promoting disarmament and helping the victims of war. Head of the Chinese delegation and Deputy Director-General of the Department of Arms Control of the Foreign Ministry Kang Yong introduced China's position on arms control and efforts of helping victims of war and indicated that China would continue to play a positive role in this regard.
