On September 20, 2024, Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin attended, upon invitation, the Independence Day reception held by the Embassy of Armenia in China.
Liu Bin congratulated Armenia on its Independence Day and said that friendly exchanges between China and Armenia have a time-honored history and bilateral relations have maintained sound and steady development since the establishment of diplomatic relations 32 years ago. The two countries have continuously consolidated political mutual trust, steadily advanced cooperation in various fields and achieved fruitful international cooperation. China is ready to work with Armenia to continuously deepen mutually beneficial cooperation and elevate bilateral relations to a new level. The Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee was successfully held in July this year, sending a clear signal of expanding high-standard opening-up. China is ready to share development opportunities with Armenia and other developing countries to help with each other's development and revitalization.
Ambassador of Armenia to China Vahe Gevorgyan said that under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, bilateral cooperation in various fields and cooperation within multilateral frameworks such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) have been advancing on all fronts. China has set a fine example of achieving modernization, leading innovation and globalization. The Armenian side is ready to make joint efforts with China to push forward the sustained development of bilateral relations.
