Wang Yi expressed, China and Tajikistan are friendly neighbors and comprehensive strategic partners. The strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Emomali Rahmon is the biggest political advantage and a solid guarantee. Both countries take the lead in building a community of development and a security community, setting an example for the development of China's relations with other Central Asian countries. Next year will mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Tajikistan, which will present new opportunities for the growth of bilateral relations. China stands ready to work with Tajikistan to build on past achievements and make new progress, opening up another 30 years of even greater bilateral relations.

Wang Yi said, the two countries have always treated each other with mutual understanding, mutual trust and mutual support, safeguarded the common interests of developing countries and upheld international fairness and justice. Both countries are "partners without alliance" in rejecting interference and bullying. This fine tradition will be carried on. Wang Yi appreciates Tajikistan's firmly standing with China on issues involving China's core interests. China will continue to staunchly support Tajikistan in safeguarding its national independence, sovereignty, and security, and firmly oppose any interference in Tajikistan's internal affairs.

Wang Yi emphasized, China will continue to provide vaccine support for Tajikistan, advance bilateral medical and health cooperation, and help Tajikistan completely defeat the virus. Against the background of the regular pandemic prevention and control, China stands ready to work with Tajikistan to synergize development strategies, boost high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, maintain a good momentum of two-way trade, accelerate the signing of the middle- and long-term economic and trade cooperation plan, promote trade and investment facilitation, and enhance cooperation in agriculture and poverty relief. China hopes both sides will leverage the mechanism for joint prevention and control against COVID-19 in the border areas, and increase the efficiency of border ports in serving virus control and economic development.

Wang Yi said, "China+Central Asia" (C+C5) is a new cooperation mechanism that meets the needs of regional countries, and it enjoys broad development prospects. We should expand and strengthen the mechanism for a long time to benefit the sustainable development of countries in the region. China will fully support Tajikistan's efforts to host a successful Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit.

Muhriddin expressed warm congratulations on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and spoke highly of the remarkable achievements that China has scored under the leadership of the CPC. Muhriddin said, since the establishment of diplomatic ties between Tajikistan and China, the two countries have deepened political mutual trust, and cooperated closely in international and regional affairs, delivering fast growth of bilateral ties. China has set a good example for the world in effectively fighting against the pandemic, and contributed significantly to the global COVID-19 response. Tajikistan thanks China for its vaccine assistance, and hopes to strengthen anti-virus cooperation with China, advance cooperation in fields such as economy, trade, agriculture, investment and transport under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, and take the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties as an opportunity to deliver greater progress in bilateral relations. Tajikistan is willing to work with China to strengthen coordination and cooperation under multilateral frameworks such as SCO, Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia, and C+C5, and push for positive outcomes of the SCO Summit.

Both sides also especially had an in-depth exchange of views on the current situation of Afghanistan and its evolution, and reached an important consensus on strengthening security cooperation and maintaining border stability.
