Special Representative of the Chinese Government on Eurasian Affairs Li Hui Attends the Reception Marking the 30th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan

On the evening of September 9, 2021, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on Eurasian Affairs Li Hui attended the Reception Marking the 30th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Li Hui said in his speech that since its independence 30 years ago, Tajikistan has found a development path suited to its national conditions, achieved political stability, economic growth, social harmony and ethnic unity, and played a positive and constructive role in regional and even international affairs.

Li Hui said, recently, President Xi Jinping and President Emomali Rahmon had a fruitful phone conversation and reached a series of important consensus, injecting new strong impetus into the development of China-Tajikistan relations. Next year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. China is ready to work with Tajikistan to earnestly implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and present more tangible outcomes of cooperation to mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries.

Tajik Ambassador to China Saidzoda Zohir Ozod said, the two countries enjoy a time-honored friendship and see deepening cooperation in various fields and fruitful achievements in joint efforts to fight the pandemic. China has become one of Tajikistan's most important economic, trade and investment partners. Tajikistan is ready to work with China to take the opportunity of jointly celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties to push for new achievements in bilateral relations.
