On September 19, 2024, Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin met with Uzbek Ambassador to China Farhod Arziev, and they had an exchange of views on recent high-level exchanges and cooperation in key areas between the two countries.
Liu Bin said that under the strategic leadership of the two heads of state, the China-Uzbekistan all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership for a new era has maintained high-level development. Not long ago, the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) was successfully held, making overall arrangements for further deepening reform comprehensively to advance Chinese modernization. He expressed the belief that China's high-quality development and high-standard opening up will bring more development opportunities to developing countries, including Uzbekistan. The Chinese side is ready to work with the Uzbek side to take the implementation of the common understandings reached by the heads of state as a guide, deepen cooperation in various fields, and boost the modernization causes of both countries.
Farhod Arziev extended congratulations on the successful convening of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, and expressed Uzbekistan's high recognition of China's development path and ideas, and its hope to learn from China's experience to build a "New Uzbekistan". The Uzbek side is ready to join hands with the Chinese side to deliver on the common understandings reached by the heads of state, enhance high-level exchanges, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, and continuously lift Uzbekistan-China relations to new heights.
