On February 20, 2023, Special Representative Wu Hongbo of the Chinese Government on European Affairs visited the Netherlands, and held political consultation between the two foreign ministries with Director-General for Political Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands Marcel DeVink. The two sides spoke positively of bilateral relations. They agreed to work together for greater development of an open and pragmatic partnership for comprehensive cooperation between China and the Netherlands. Both sides also exchanged views on China-EU relations and international and regional issues of mutual interest and concern.
