Vice Foreign Minister Deng Li and Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland Wojciech Gerwel Hold Strategic Dialogue

On April 18, 2023, Vice Foreign Minister Deng Li and Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland Wojciech Gerwel held the China-Poland strategic dialogue at the vice foreign minister’s level in Beijing. 

Deng Li said that China and Poland enjoy traditional friendship. The current international situation is fraught with complexity and turbulence, and developing China-Poland relations is conducive to injecting more stability into the world. China is ready to work with Poland to further increase exchanges at all levels, enhance mutual understanding and mutual trust, make full use of cooperation mechanisms and platforms in various fields, deeply tap potential for cooperation, and jointly strive for more outcomes of cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC).

Wojciech Gerwel said that Poland attaches importance to its relations with China, stays committed to the one-China policy, and hopes to maintain the momentum of high-level exchanges between the two countries, and develop mutually beneficial economic and trade cooperation between the two sides in a balanced manner. Poland is ready to continue to participate in and promote the steady and sustained development of CEEC-China cooperation.

The two sides also exchanged views on the Ukraine crisis and other international and regional hotspot issues.
