On March 7, 2023, Special Envoy on Afghan Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Yue Xiaoyong attended the first Meeting of Special Representatives of Neighboring Countries of Afghanistan in Tashkent. He exchanged in-depth views with representatives of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Iran, Russia and other countries on the current situation in Afghanistan and the operation of the mechanism of coordination and cooperation among Afghanistan's neighboring countries. All the parties emphasized that they would continue to implement the outcomes of the third Foreign Ministers' Meeting among the Neighboring Countries of Afghanistan held in Tunxi, Anhui Province, and fully support Uzbekistan in hosting the fourth Foreign Ministers' Meeting among the Neighboring Countries of Afghanistan.
