From March 13 to 14, 2017, Director-General of the Department of Treaty and Law of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Xu Hong led a delegation to Copenhagen and held the consultation between Director-Generals (Legal Advisors) of the Departments of Treaty and Law of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of China and Denmark with Under-Secretary of State for Legal Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tobias Elling Rehfeld of Denmark. Both sides conducted in-depth exchanges on multilateralism, the international order, the UN legal affairs, law of the sea, the dispute settlement mechanism of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, the International Criminal Court, international humanitarian law and other important international law issues.

During his stay in Denmark, Xu Hong also visited the Ministry of Justice and the Parliamentary Ombudsman Office of Denmark at invitation, exchanging views on cooperation in anti-corruption as well as judicial and law enforcement.
