On September 29, 2020, Vice Foreign Minister Qin Gang met with the new Danish Ambassador to China Thomas Østrup Møller.

Qin Gang said that 2020 marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relation between China and Denmark. The bilateral relation has gained remarkable progress over the past 70 years that should be attributed to mutual respects and benefits. The keynote of China-Demark relation is cooperation and partnership. Looking into the future, the two countries should further observe the past experience to strengthen exchanges and mutual trust, expand common ground and narrow differences, deepen cooperation and boost the China-Denmark comprehensive strategic partnership to a higher level in the next 70 years.

Ambassador Thomas Østrup Møller congratulated the 71st anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. He said that under the bilateral partnership of mutual benefits and cooperation, Denmark attaches great importance to the development of the relation with China. He will make every effort to promote the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries for greater progress.
