On September 20, 2024, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on European Affairs Wu Hongbo, upon invitation, attended and addressed the opening ceremony of the third Global Geographical Indications Products Expo in Luzhou, Sichuan Province. Wu also attended the opening ceremony of the Spanish Pavilion, the guest of honor, and the European Union Pavilion. The landmark Expo is an important measure taken by Luzhou City to implement the China-EU Agreement on Geographical Indications signed in 2020.
