China, Montenegro Hold Reception to Mark the Fifth Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between the Two Countries in Beijing

On July 13, 2011, Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and the Montenegrin Embassy in China co-hosted a reception to mark Montenegro National Day and the fifth anniversary of the establishment of China-Montenegro diplomatic ties in Beijing. Luo Fuhe, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), attended the reception.

CPAFFC Vice President Li Jianping and Montenegrin Ambassador to China Ljiljana Toskovic addressed the reception respectively. Both sides noted that since the establishment of China-Montenegro diplomatic ties on July 6, 2006, bilateral relations have been developing smoothly. Both sides have maintained frequent high-level contacts and exchange of visits and consolidated traditional friendship. Both sides have also enhanced cooperation on economy, trade, culture, transportation and tourism in a comprehensively way. They hoped to take the opportunity of the celebration of the fifth anniversary to continuously tap potential of bilateral cooperation and push forward friendly relations between the two countries and their peoples.

Assistant Foreign Minister Cheng Guoping as well as about 300 people including responsible officials from central ministries and commissions and relevant departments, diplomatic envoys of other foreign countries and friendly personages attended the reception.
