Foreign Minister Wang Yi Holds Talks with Pasquale Valentini, Minister for Foreign Affairs of San Marino

On 28 October 2013, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held talks with Pasquale Valentini, Minister for Foreign Affairs of San Marino, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of San Marino. Both sides exchanged in-depth views on China-San Marino relations and reached broad consensus.

First, to continue to maintain and deepen friendly cooperation of mutual respect and equality, to adhere to equality between big and small countries and to further strengthen bilateral relations. Second, to expand the area and uplift the level of mutually beneficial cooperation between China and San Marino, to unceasingly optimize the bilateral trade structure, to expand mutual investment, to support mutually beneficial cooperation between the small-and-medium-sized enterprises of the two countries, to strive to sign the Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (FIPA) at an early date and to enhance bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism. Third, to expand people-to-people and cultural exchanges, to continue to carry out cultural exchange activities loved by the people of the two countries and to promote educational cooperation. China will support San Marino for carrying out Chinese language teaching. Fourth, to strengthen coordination and cooperation in international affairs especially in the UN and other multilateral mechanisms.
