Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu Meets with Newly-appointed Ambassador of the United States to China David Perdue

On May 20, 2025, Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu met with newly-appointed Ambassador of the United States to China David Perdue. The two sides had a candid and in-depth exchange of views on the current China-U.S. relations and important issues of common interest and concern.

Ma Zhaoxu stressed that the Chinese side views and handles China-U.S. relations in accordance with the three principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and win-win cooperation put forward by President Xi Jinping. China resolutely safeguards its sovereignty, security and development interests. Ma Zhaoxu expressed the hope that the U.S. side will work in the same direction with China to jointly promote the stable, sound and sustainable development of China-U.S. relations.
