President Xi Jinping Leaves Beijing to Visit Four Central Asian Countries and to Attend G20 Summit and SCO Summit

In the morning of Sep. 3, 2013, at the invitation of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan, President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation, President Nursultan Nazarbayev of the Republic of Kazakhstan, President Islam Karimov of the Republic of Uzbekistan, President Almazbek Atambayev of Kyrgyz Republic, President Xi Jinping left Beijing by special plane successively to pay a state visit to Turkmenistan, to attend the eighth G20 Summit in St. Petersburg, to pay state visits to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan and to attend the thirteenth Meeting of the Council of Heads of the Member States of the SCO in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

President Xi Jinping's delegation includes Wang Huning, member of the Political Bureau and Director of the Policy Research Office of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, Wang Yang, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, Li Zhanshu, member of the Political Bureau and Secretariat and Director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee, Yang Jiechi, the State Councilor, and Zhou Xiaochuan, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Governor of the People's Bank of China.
