Premier Li Keqiang Chairs State Council's Executive Meeting

Premier Li Keqiang chaired a State Council executive meeting on 11 February to draw up plans to enhance macro-economic regulation and ensure supplies while advancing epidemic control with all-out efforts.

The meeting decided to do the following: First, to encourage enterprises to resume production in a category-specific and organized manner. Second, to urge producers of key medical supplies to promptly resume full-capacity production to meet epidemic control needs on the ground. Third, to ensure well-planned return of workers. Fourth, to ask sub-national governments and relevant agencies to introduce special mechanisms to tide enterprises, especially private and small and micro businesses, over the epidemic and ease their difficulties. Fifth, to enforce the accountability of sub-national governments for ensuring the supply of grains, oil, vegetables, meat, eggs, dairy products and other daily necessities. Sixth, to guarantee energy supply and transportation capacity for unimpeded operation of transport arteries and logistics hubs. Seventh, to promote the timely launch of key projects. Eighth, to follow closely the employment situation and prevent massive layoffs.
