China Customs: 75 Cases Tested Positive for COVID-19

Customs authorities across China are strictly enforcing health declaration and temperature screening on all travelers entering or exiting the country, as risks of COVID-19 infection importation mount. On 3 March, customs authorities found five cases (four in Shanghai and one in Beijing) tested positive in nucleic acid testing during sample examination and screening, and all cases had been transferred to local authorities. As of 00:00, 4 March, 6,728 entry passengers with symptoms had been identified by customs authorities nationwide, among which 779 were suspected cases, and 75 people tested positive in nucleic acid testing. All cases have been transferred or reported to competent health authorities in accordance with inter-agency epidemic control procedures.
