1.Between 00:00 and 24:00, 21 March, the following were newly reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 46 confirmed cases;

b) 6 fatal cases (including 5 in Hubei);

c) 45 suspected cases;

d) 504 cured and discharged cases;

e) 1,110 close contacts released from medical observation; and

f) 118 fewer severe cases.

2.As of 24:00, 21 March, the following had been reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 5,549 confirmed cases (including 1,845 severe cases) still under treatment;

b) 72,244 cured and discharged cases;

c) 3,261 fatal cases;

d) 81,054 confirmed cases;

e) 118 suspected cases pending test results; and

f) 687,680 close contacts traced (including 10,071 still under medical observation).

3.Between 00:00 and 24:00, 21 March, the following were newly reported by Hubei:

a) 0 confirmed cases (Wuhan included);

b) 490 cured and discharged cases (including 463 in Wuhan);

c) 5 fatal cases (including 4 in Wuhan); and

d) 0 suspected cases (Wuhan included).

As of 24:00, 21 March, Hubei had reported:

a) 5,224 confirmed cases (including 5,143 in Wuhan) still under treatment;

b) 1,812 severe cases (including 1,794 in Wuhan) still under treatment;

c) 59,432 cured and discharged cases (including 42,354 in Wuhan);

d) 3,144 fatal cases (including 2,508 in Wuhan);

e) 67,800 confirmed cases (including 50,005 in Wuhan); and

f) no suspected cases pending test results (Wuhan included).

Between 00:00 and 24:00, 21 March, 45 imported cases (confirmed) were newly reported (14 in Shanghai, 13 in Beijing, 7 in Guangdong, 4 in Fujian, 2 in Jiangsu, 1 in Hebei, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Shandong and Sichuan respectively). As of 24:00, 21 March, 314 imported cases (confirmed) had been reported.

4.As of 24:00, 21 March, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan had altogether reported 444 confirmed cases:

a) 273 (including 100 discharged cases and 4 fatal cases) in the Hong Kong SAR;

b) 18 (including 10 discharged cases) in the Macao SAR; and

c) 153 (including 28 discharged cases and 2 fatal cases) in the Taiwan region.
