NHC Update on COVID-19 Cases in China (24:00, 13 July)

1. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 13 July, the following were reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 3 confirmed cases (all imported in Shanghai);

b) no fatal cases;

c) no suspected cases;

d) 26 cured and discharged cases;

e) 508 close contacts released from medical observation; and

f) no change in the number of severe cases.

2. As of 24:00, 13 July, among all the imported cases, 85 confirmed cases (2 severe cases) were still under treatment and 2 suspected cases awaiting test results. In total, 1,982 imported cases had been confirmed, 1,897 cases cured and discharged, and no fatal cases reported.

3. As of 24:00, 13 July, the following had been reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 297 confirmed cases (3 severe cases) still under treatment;

b) 78,674 cured and discharged cases;

c) 4,634 fatal cases;

d) 83,605 confirmed cases;

e) 5 suspected cases pending test results; and

f) 766,903 close contacts traced (including 3,267 still under medical observation).

4. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 13 July, the following asymptomatic cases were reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 5 new cases (all imported);

b) no cases developed into confirmed cases;

c) 5 cases released from medical observation (3 imported); and

d) 110 cases still under medical observation (87 imported).

5. As of 24:00, 13 July, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan had altogether reported 2,018 confirmed cases:

a) 1,521 in the Hong Kong SAR (including 1,217 discharged cases and 8 fatal cases);

b) 46 in the Macao SAR (45 discharged from hospital); and

c) 451 in the Taiwan region (including 440 discharged cases and 7 fatal cases).
