On November 4, 2020, Premier of the State Council Li Keqiang exchanged messages with Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of China-Italy diplomatic relations.

Li Keqiang said in his message that, in the 50 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the two countries uphold mutual respect, mutual trust and mutual benefits, and witness fruitful cooperation in all fields and sound development of the bilateral relations.
