Vice Foreign Minister Luo Zhaohui Meets with Outgoing Japanese Ambassador to China Yutaka Yokoi

On November 13, 2020, Vice Foreign Minister Luo Zhaohui met with the outgoing Japanese ambassador to China Yutaka Yokoi.

Luo Zhaohui spoke positively of Yutaka Yokoi's contributions to China-Japan relations during his tenure. Luo emphasized, after the outbreak of COVID-19, China and Japan, as close neighbors, have offered support and assistance to each other, which fully demonstrates the friendship between the two peoples. China stands ready to work with Japan to promote greater development of bilateral relations in the new era. Luo hopes Yutaka Yokoi will continue to care for and support China-Japan relations after returning home.

Yutaka Yokoi appreciated China's support for his fulfillment of duties in China, and pleased with the recent years' improvement of China-Japan relations. He also noted that he will commit himself to promoting Japan-China friendship as always.
