Vice Foreign Minister Le Yucheng and Uzbek Deputy Foreign Minister Sidikov Furkat Ahmedovich Hold the Meeting of the China-Uzbekistan Security Cooperation Sub-committee and the Consultation between the Two Foreign Ministries

On March 30, 2021, Vice Foreign Minister Le Yucheng and Uzbek Deputy Foreign Minister Sidikov Furkat Ahmedovich held the 7th meeting of the Security Cooperation Sub-committee of the China-Uzbekistan Inter-Governmental Cooperation Committee and the consultation between the two foreign ministries via video link.

The two sides exchanged in-depth views on China-Uzbekistan relations, high-level exchanges, cooperation in prioritized areas and international and regional issues of common concern. They agreed to earnestly implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state, overcome the negative impacts of COVID-19 together, advance Belt and Road cooperation, elevate the level of cooperation, and build a more vibrant and robust China-Uzbekistan comprehensive strategic partnership.

The two sides fully recognized the achievements made in security cooperation between the two countries, and agreed to continue to make use of the Security Cooperation Sub-committee to further boost communication and cooperation at all levels, jointly crack down on terrorist, separatist and extremist forces, and make greater contributions to the security and stability of the two countries and the Central Asia.

After the meeting, the two sides signed the Minutes of the 7th Meeting of the Security Cooperation Sub-committee of the China-Uzbekistan Inter-Governmental Cooperation Committee.
