Li Keqiang Meets with Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development Angel Gurría

On the morning of July 1 local time, Premier Li Keqiang met with Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Angel Gurría at the OECD headquarters in Paris.

Li Keqiang expressed that China and the OECD have cooperated for 20 years, forming a wide-range and multi-level cooperation pattern on the basis of equality and mutual benefit. China appreciates the important role of the OECD in enhancing international economic cooperation and pushing global economic development, is willing to intensify exchanges and cooperation with the OECD and welcomes the OECD to provide more policy support and suggestions in China's modernization course.

Li Keqiang pointed out that China's development is inseparable from the world while global prosperity can not be achieved without China. During my stay in France this time, China and France, by combining advantages of both sides on production capacity, equipment manufacturing and cutting-edge technology, reached consensus on meeting the needs of developing countries for infrastructure construction and jointly developing the third-party market, this helps realize mutual benefit and multi-win results and contributes to regional development cooperation as well as global economic recovery, growth and prosperity.

Angel Gurría said that Premier Li Keqiang's visit to the OECD headquarters marks an important historic moment for exchanges between the OECD and China. The OECD supports the measures taken by the Chinese government for economic growth and will earnestly implement the plan for bilateral exchanges and cooperation, share development experience of all parties including China and contribute to China's economic and social development as well as its modernization course.

Following the meeting, both sides together witnessed the signing of relevant cooperation documents.
